Top Spot Cleaning is a facility maintenance company that started out as a professional floor and carpet care cleaning service.
Are you happy with your current cleaner? if not, we could be your solution. Not sure? Ask for a bid.
Solutions Too is the inventory sales side of the business. We are distributors of the products we use.
Owned by Doug & Sue Neill, Top Spot Cleaning serves the Lincoln and surrounding areas in Nebraska.
Doug has a long background in cleaning. He started at the age of 19 with a Service Master franchise. He had a lot of different experiences and learned quite a lot. (I’d think in cleaning there are some lessons one would rather not learn.)
By the 1990’s Doug founded A-Cross Time Cleaning. During that time, he came across a line of products that really boosted the business. Actually, he kept getting the mailers and trashing them. A couple of years of still receiving the flyers he decided that either there was something to the product or it was false advertising. He ordered one bottle of Procyon Soap-Free Carpet cleaner and was sold on the product and the science behind it. Doug has been a distributor since.
In 2006 Doug sold A-Cross Time to pursue other interests. It wasn’t long before he started missing the work and serving previous and new commercial and residential clients.
In 2014 the opportunity was there to start anew. Soon after Top Spot Cleaning was launched, many of the previous clients were back. Know that if you do business with Top Spot, you get someone who really has a passion for making sure you get the clean you want. It isn’t just a job. The man absolutely loves to do this!
The company name has become ironic. We get a lot of calls from people who start the conversation by having spots they can’t get out – not by asking to have their carpet cleaned.
Thinking the business was going to take the same track as the previous one, the expectation was to be about 60% residential cleaning within two years. Instead the base of the business was nightly janitorial for some of Lincoln’s finest restaurants.
In 2016, a visit to an ISSA trade show in Chicago proved fruitful. The purpose was to meet with the Procyon Plus Manufactuing company. Doug found a host of other information and in a few months had started working with Simix Floor Coatings which has a pH of 11 and replaces waxing floors with a permanent ceramic coating. Since that time, the facilities maintenance has blossomed. Doug has just as much f a passion for this side of the business as the original residential cleaning.
